Here's a small tutorial of how to throw your Rev. It's such an easy trick really and it looks and feels great to do! I wanted to put more text on the video, but Windows MovieMaker kept crashing, so this is the best I could do. I wanted to add that this trick is easiest if you start off on short lines - I was flying on 30' lines in this clip. Happy Flying!

  • I don't actually remember, but I think more likely 90lb.

  • hi,it is so amazing, how long are the lines?,and what about the wind speed that day?

  • Hi! I am glad you like the video. I was flying on 30 foot lines (really short) and the wind was blowing really strange - from 2km/h to 15km/h within a few seconds, and changing 180 degrees in direction. The reason? because we were flying in a valley in the summer time, under a high pressure weather system with no prevailing wind and there were thermals lifting off all over the valley which was making the wind so changeable - which made the flying so much fun. :-)

    Happy Flying!

  • And thanks to Anne-Mieke for filming me. You're the best! X

  • I forgot to add one thing. You might find that you have to run back at bit when you do the throw, when you first start out.

  • What strength are your lines? 50#? 90#? thanks in advance

  • Nice! :)

Ive got a spare 120 foot of line lying about the place, I think....

Trickiest bit looks to be 'crashing' it into your hand. Although with the amount of practice I get at crashing you would think that I could do it on command by now.

  • Hi, In fact I saw someone doing it years ago and I wondered how it was done. So I had a look on the internet and saw some descriptions of how to do it and I went out and tried and thought, "Hey, this is easy!". But I wanted to put something on YouTube because it makes it so much easier to learn if you can actually see someone doing it rather than a written description. Have you tried it yet? :-)
