This is a live recording (with my trio, The Matt Savage Trio) of my original composition, "Father's Day", recorded at Tufts University in Boston, MA on September 29, 2007.

I'm on the piano, Dave Robaire is on the bass and Joe Saylor is on drums.

This song was written for my dad... on Father's Day. And, as a matter of fact, I uploaded this video on Father's Day, on the second anniversary of the song's composition! Happy Father's Day, Dad!

This recording is on my current CD, "Hot Ticket: Live in Boston."

  • @marracotube Haha, wow! I didn't even know that song.

  • Hi Strange Sensation,

I still play regularly with the "old" trio as well as the "new" trio... also, my new album "Welcome Home" has two trios and a quintet (John Funkhouser is in one of the trios).

    Matt

  • Love the song Matt, but what happened to the old trio?
