If you have children and you've come to Rehoboth Beach, DE, you know all about Funland. Back in 1962, Al Fasnacht, his mother, father, and brother Don bought Funland. The family's been running this wonderful place ever since. About 100 people work here during the summer, summer, and at last count, 29 of them Fasnacht family members. Al is now past 80 years old, but still loves his life's work:
"It's being able to work together as a family; we count our blessings daily in that regard. We've been blessed with good high school and college kids who come here and work with us and become a part of our summer family. And it's very rewarding to provide clean, safe, affordable family fun for so many years."

I have known Funland my whole life. My mother went to Funland when she was a child and now her grandchildren are getting on some of the same rides from when she started going 50 yrs ago. It is definitely a family tradition. I wouldn't know what to do if we missed a summer season by not going. Great fun! I hope you all are around for another 100 yrs. See you all in July 2011

Funland is permanently etched into my being, as I've been going there every summer since I was born (40 years old now). It's a magic place to me and it will always be. I hope it lasts 100 more years.

Spent two summers working as a Funlander. Still remembering the great time there. I'm proud to have been part of the Funland family. Hopefully I come to visit someday.
