This is a video of the Denver Post Train taken July 23, 2006. The train is pulled by the UP Northern steam locomotive Number 844. The video was taken just north of the LaSalle,CO yards at around 6:30 p.m. as the train was returning to Denver from Cheyenne, WY.
That's cool!

I know about the 844 but I saw that design for the diesels in a '50s engine so I was just guessing.

The EMD E9s were built between 1954 and 1964. I don't know when the UP ones were built exactly, but the timeframe is mid 50s to mid 60s.
844 (the steam locomotive) was delivered to up in 1944.

Correct me if I'm wrong but were they like early to mid 50s?

Stinking diesels? You can't be referring to those classic E9s?? They're not much younger than 844 herself!
