i HATE this version. does anyone else think that Karl should only be allowed to play songs that he co-wrote?
-
he meant that karl bartos is a seldom heard member of kraftwerk
-
to be fair its Karls interpretaion of numbers and how they should be portrayed by the medium of sound, yes it doesnt sound like the Kraftwerk original but hes doing his own thing now, and its still an interesting electronic piece. From a composition point of view it is still a good piece I feel and I enjoy listening to it.

It Is What It Is, Baby.

kraftwerk was in its owm class and no one can compare to them . what they sid (with bartis) was art and Bartos continued their work in his way .. he is not maiking art ore history but music for those who loved kraftwerk in 80 s and 90 s .

He managed to fuck that up pretty good did'nt he?
His Kraftwerk covers really need more work to match the originals. Well the new Kraftwerk could use some help to.
They failed to understand that their songs are more than the sum of the four original members.
Kraftwerks innovation died just after electric cafe was released.
Now theyre all fighting over royalties just like any old rockband with diveing recordsales.
pathetic!!!
It's not as good as when Kraftwerk does it (in execution, compositionally and sonically). But Bartos is certainly "allowed" to play this live, since he co-wrote this and other great KW tunes. I am reminded that KW lost something when Flur and Bartos left: a kind of playfulness in performance and composition.

It's not fair to call this 'Numbers' really is it? I mean, it's nothing like the Computerworld original.
