Infographics are quickly becoming a popular marketing tool. In response to this, Visual.ly recently launched, crediting itself as "the world's largest community for exploring, sharing, creating, and promoting data visualizations."

So what is Visual.ly, and what can it do for your real estate business.

There are three main components to Visual.ly:

Exploring

Visual.ly isn't a search engine per se, you search within the infographics provided by the members and partners. However, the results are amazing. There is currently over 2,000 infographics right now, and I'm sure that number will exploded in the coming weeks. Visual.ly lets you quickly search for any topic, then you get charts and graphics. But this isn't your mom's charts and graphics, all the results will vary by data, humor, color, etc.

Sharing

Like we mention, the data collected between members and Visual.ly's partners will be shared to help create these amazing infographics. Those partners include government agencies, non-profits and other research and data focused agencies. Not only that, Visual.ly also looks to create a community that will connect creators with potential publishers.

Creating

Finally, what most are so excited about, Visual.ly is also a web-based platform for creating infographics of your very own. All of this can be done without software or graphic design experience. It will be Visual.ly's Labs feature that will be offering tools to create completely new visualizations. Which we can't wait for them to unveil.

Why It's Awesome

For starters it isn't going to take long to create CMAs with this we don't think, which is much more appealing than the way they've been done in the past. Really though, the opportunities are limitless, from marketing, to inforgraphics for your blogs, to more engaging tools for team meeting, we're very excited to see where this goes.

Should Google Appear As Number 1

Recently, in the UK, Google has launched a mortgage comparison tool. The technology looks to be gleaned from its recently acquired BeatThatQuote.com. That in itself isn't a problem, they have a mortgage comparison tool for the States too!

What's interesting is, if you Google mortgage comparison, UK mortgages comparison, or even mortgages, you get their tool.

So this begs the question, now that they have so much data, what is going to keep them from topping their own search engine, to drive revenues further?

What if they launched a home search tool? Would that have an effect on your search traffic? Would it bother you?
