Time Warner cable internet not working

I have been losing my Time Warner internet connection almost every day between about 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM, most days for the past five weeks. This is what my Time Warner cable modem looks like for about six hours every day, with the sync light just flashing and not steady as it should be. When it finally does come back on in the evening, the download speed is choppy, averaging around 300 KBS, and I only get back up to 6 MBPS around 10:00 PM. I've done all the usual things - been on the phone to customer service dozens of times, for many hours in total. I'm also on my third modem now. They sent out an engineer once a few weeks back, and another one is due tomorrow.

switch providers. in my experience, if it doesn't work and they've sent an engineer, that means it will never work at your location and they will never fix it. Get DSL or wireless instead.

Your upstream signal might be high. And you might have noise on you cable signal. Check all the cable connection make sure they are tight and not loose. Also when ever your modem locks in go to ur web browser and type 192.168.100.1 if you upstream power is higher that 52db thats not good.

Right now my modem is doing this crap its been over 2 hrs im thinking about calling tech support im using my awesome droid to tether internet to my laptop so i can do research! =P
