  • My dad had a list of favorites by Jimmy but this was mine. I made my dad translate the song for me as we sat on the sofa waiting for my mother to hurry with Sunday "gravy" so we could have a glass of wine and eat dinner. This guy filled our house every sunday with love and laughs...You make beautiful memories here Joe!

    Thanks for posting MY Favorite!

  • Joe

Had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy many year ago at a friends home in Dix Hill Long Island N.Y.

till today no one compares to jimmy"s style and voice. Jimmy is one of a kind OI remember what he told me. He said " There are many singers with ITALIAN NAMES BUT VERY FEW ITALIAN SINGERS.

  • Yes we had big stereo cabinet hi-fi also. It was the only thing decent my father ever bought. Mom played this albums over and over and over to the point that at age ten I could sing the words ( not vert well mind you)

Mom and I are listening to this on my iPhone while in the car. Thanks big joe

  • Joe, sunday morning 10:30 or so (ET) doing my thing as usual. Thank you again for keeping Jimmy alive and our folks in our heart!! You are a true blessing to me.

  • A Tribute to Jimmy Roselli " The Legend" will be performed @ The Coral Springs Center For The Arts in Coral Springs, Fl. Feb.19th, 2012, Box office 954-344-5990

  • Amazing how very few people made a big deal of his death. He was such a big part of my life growing up. I remember hearing him often as I'm sure so many people my age did. No one should forget him and we should all keep his memory alive. Thanks Joe for doing that.

  • Jimmy Roselli was a great Italian crooner. It's a shame that he had problems trying to make it to the top. It costs him many years to get back up there again. He knew had a put a song over the top. A great voice for a great guy. His music will live on in our hearts and souls for a long time to come. He is greatly missed.

  • @knoxie152 Jimmy 's voice filled the house on sunday too. But out here on the west coast wee call it succu-sagu.

  • So good!! I remember my father singing this song...good memories!

  • friends,we had a big stereo cabinet and my mother played mr jimmy roselli often, there was sunday mass, tomatoe gravy or sauce enough to feed a army, and so many memories that I honor my heritage, name, and family memories every day , I was told bring a gift when you visit, pastry ,or flowers for the women ,in this day and circa ,most people donot understand- the honor that the italian people carry too honor thy family past and present. mike c

  • Write something you fucking ginnys. I know you have great family memories tied to the beautiful music of this guy. Sundays mom made the gravy. We woke up to the smell of meatballs cooking in the Bronx. It was a glorious time in my life. I'm as tough as nails (thanks mom) but this just puts a big lump in my throat.I think i was the luckiest kid in the world.. Big Dom R.I.P dad & thanks for all you both gave us!
