The longest recorded canine tongue measures 4.5 in (11.43 cm) and belongs to Puggy, a Pekingese owned by Becky Stanford (USA). The record-breaking muscle was measured at Avondale Haslet Animal Clinic in Texas, USA, on May 8, 2009.
