This was shot free hand without a tripod. This was shot inside of our dorm room where the lighting isn't the best for video, so that will hopefully give you an idea of how the camera performs under low light conditions. When I was video taping the guitar I turned the light on, which works very well at close distances (but what do you expect?). I do like the sound from the camera, I think it comes out nicely.

However, I will be returning the camera. The format of the movies is .mov, which does not work with Windows Movie Maker or the other video editing software that I have (Arcsoft Showbiz DVD 2). I know they aren't exactly top-notch programs, but it's what I have, and this will not work with them. The videos will produce in Showbiz, but there's no sound. The same kind of thing with the included software: the video will produce, but the actual video will lag behind the sound (as in they don't match up). I'm sure there's a way to fix it, but I want something a little bit more reliable. They recommend at least a 2.8 GHz processor, so that might be the problem (mine is a 2.2 GHz).

In all, great camera for SINGLE SHOT videos. If you're an amateur looking to edit videos, you might want to find a different camera. The HD is probably the kicker for the whole thing. But don't let the whole HD factor get you, there are plenty of cameras out there that can take excellent looking videos that will probably look just as good as this camera's video in the long run. I am going to go replace this camera with a Panasonic SDR-H40 and see if I can't get better results. I'll post some videos of that up here as well. PLEASE feel free to ask any questions you have in your search for the perfect camera, whether it be a comment or a message. Happy video-ing!

  • I didn't use any converting software for this video. Heck, it's been so long I forget if the camera even came with converting software. Can anyone else answer this question better than I can?

  • okay the video quality is actually pretty good but i hate to say that the guitar is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy out of tune.

  • Haha, we'll just say he's less than a professional guitarist.

  • @ActiveWorldsLunitic You push it to turn light on, and push it again to turn it off.

  • Hey, to turn the light on, do you have to hold down the button, or just push it once?

  • Execuse Me What Converting Software do You use. Like to put it on the computer?
