how low would a star have to be to show its over a particular house, if a star ever came near the earth the earth would burn up. the star was no planet or sun but none other than satan the devil who directed the magi to king herod who would then set out to destroy jesus,notice the angels told the sheperds, and satan used magi who were in direct opposition to gods law,to king herod read. deut 18v10, god was not leading the magi . satan was the bright light who led the magi to jerusalem
