@RathbunDan That is what was confusing me. I don't know if it was appropriate for the scene, or a huge mistake in the movie. I never really understood that, even after 6 years sinse seeing it in theaters.

@americanflyer302 I put mine in neutral all the time with the power at full speed. It builds up the smoke. Nothing has happend for 2 years. I always keep it full of fluid though.

Where did you get the flashing Merry Christmas sign on top of the building? Love it!

Nice! Doesn't take much to change a train set to a display. I like the locomotives that have the puffing smoke in them because they produce much more smoke. My Hiawatha is very feeble in that department.

With the new Conductor Announcement Coach that Lionel have added, you want to stick with the whistle tender. The announcement plays when you push the 'bell' button on your transformer. If you get the new Railsounds tender, you'll hear the bell and the announcement at the same time.

Nice layout. It is disappointing that Lionel provided a whistle tender instead of a trainsounds tender with the berkshire engine in this set. Now they're offering a railsounds tender on the side, along with other style of cars like a baggage, diner, chocolate, etc. The movie train consists of 4passenger coaches and an observation car.

I just saw your trains, there really nice. Very realistic timing!
more like "scare the shit out of the passengers" express

In the movie it is hard to tell just how many cars are on the train. The number of cars changes from scene to scene. Some scenes it only has four and some scenes it has about 8 or more. And some seem longer. Go figure?
Advice to the operator of the train. Slow it down.
