Drove to Swinton station just in time (didn't even have time to set the tripod up) to see 37059 & 37610 thundering northwards on the late running 09:36 Sheerness-Stockton scrap.
Thanks to Dave for letting me know they were running late.

  • @clusterfak Ah right, yes we have some sets of permanently coupled container flats and some coal wagons, but most wagons are just individuals that can be added/removed from a train depending on demand, nowhere near as long as 100 in length though! No more than 50 at the most here.

  • No...unit trains over here (Canada) are permanently coupled cars (wagons). i.e. a string of 100 coal cars or container flats, etc.

  • @clusterfak Thanks! If by that you mean passenger trains with underfloor engines? Yes we have plenty of those
