Vernon R. Wiehe, Ph.D. was interviewed at his home in Lexington, Kentucky, on October 18, 2011, by filmmaker Gary Prusaitis. Vernon was the script consultant for his MFA thesis film, "The Nuclear Family: A Tale of Sibling Abuse," which is discussed. (15:00 min.)

Dr. Wiehe is a semi-retired professor in the College of Social Work at the University of Kentucky. He is the author of over fifty articles in social science journals as well as numerous books on sibling abuse.

Dr. Wiehe has lectured extensively on the subject of family violence to audiences in the United States and abroad. He has appeared on numerous television and radio talk shows discussing the subject of family relationships.
