"What are the odds" is the wrong question; "Is it based on odds" is the right one.

A question that will come up is "if God can be eternal, why can't the universe?". The answer is because the universe is based on probabilities and is contingent/dependent by way of the nature of time. We know the universe began to exist (since infinite regressions of time is impossible), and therefore the first cause of the universe is without time/eternal (which God is by definition).

Lastly, no scientists will say the universe is eternal, they all say it has a definitive age (6000 years, or 6 billion, doesn't matter). For a robust proof of the beginning of the universe, kindly watch

I don't think he actually knows what "probability" means. Probability doesn't cause anything, it's a way of representing a situation with variables. A 50% probability does not mean a random result. As soon as you toss the coin into the air, the result has been determined, but we can't possibly measure all the the factors that can effect the outcome, so they are referred to as probabilities. We say how likely one outcome is vs another outcome based on the limited information we have.
