Someone requested that I sing an Italian art song, but my book was no where to be found :o!! So I sang an English one, called "Come Again, Sweet Love." I hope you enjoy. :)

  • Lovely voice but Italian art song? It's English as bluebells. It's not a sad song - it's pure passion in music. Doesn't the way the notes go up in a crescendo remind you of something? We all know what 'to come' means and anyone who has read Shakespeare knows that 'to die' in Elizabethan English means to have an orgasm. People have been celebrating the joy of sex in music for centuries.

  • @londongirln19 My description states that it is English. I didn't know what "to die" or "to come" meant, until someone kindly informed me after I posted this video. I don't study Elizabethan English.

  • how old are you u look like about 18 but you have a very mature voice

  • thanks! I'm 19, turning 20 this year.. this video was posted when I was 18 though, so you are correct :]

  • Wow, I think I took a class with you several years ago. Did you ever take Italian at Mt. Sac? I remember a girl named Camille that was taking singing, and your age fits. Just curious, Michelle Liebgott- Osinga.

  • I never took a class there, but who knows...I might have a secret twin! ;-) :)

  • I'm an alto and I'm singing this song for all county! But I sing it in such a different version! lol

  • @londongirln19 read her prologue again.

  • where did u get the instumental?

  • @londongirln19 I disagree - it's a very sad song. While the first half is about sex, the second half is about unrequited love. The singer's lover has left him/her and is "now left and forlorn" and the terms "to come" and "to die" have new meanings.

  • where did you find the accompaniment

  • you have a very very very good voice i love to sing and i have to do this song for voice lessons you were the best inspration good luckkkkkkk

  • PLEASE get your bangs out of your eyes sweetie! EVERY video of you, your hair is covering your pretty eyes! Youre extremely talented but its VERY distracting!

Im taking voice lessons from Nick Chalmers and hes awesome. He went to St. Olaf. Hes having me sing this song and i watched this video and it really helped me with dynamics. Go John Dowland! (do you know the third verse??? typically sexual for the renaissance period!)

  • Oh, I'm doing this for voice class as well. Too bad I can't sing it as well as you! =D
