Mary Travers had a super voice but compared to the voice of Joan Baez, well she needed some practice. Baez could sing Opra and did with European singers. She could sing country and bluegrass. In addition to folk that is a plate full. To know mary is dead Joan would have been the first to show up at the funeral. Joan has taken a number of Dylan song's to the top and was married to him at one time. She is the best singer I have ever heard.

Which is not a knock against Baez, who I otherwise much appreciate. (Does a good "Farewell, Angelina".)

The emotions - "a restless, hungry feeling" - are Dylan's, the song is Dylan's, other versions can only be a tribute. No one does Dylan like Dylan. Nobody.
