A word of wisdom about this. DO NOT TREAT BLISTERS FROM A BURN THE SAME AS YOU DO BLISTERS OBTAINED BY WORKING.
NEVER poke a needle into a blister received through burning the area.
I'm a paramedic. You do what she said if the blister is gotten through chafing the skin, in other words hard work.
You don't do it for a second degree burn, b/c the probability for infection in burns is way higher than in wounds caused by chafing.
