  • @bm001 A "PS"? Image search "Sony PS" and see what pops up. Then search "PS1". Sounds like you're pretty technical and all. I have never heard of anyone refer to the Playstation as a "PS". As for the smaller version that was released later in the Playstation life, that is actually officially called a "PSone" not "PS1". The Playstation was nicknamed by many fans as the "PSX" though that was never an official name that Sony called it. As stated by some it was called "PS-X" during development.

  • I believe there are two versions of the net yaroze? A matt black version for the general public and a matt jade green only released for developers, there is currently a PAL one on ebay going for around a thousand bucks! Check it out:

    Nope it was to stop piracy.

    I had a PS1 dated September 1995. I used to play imports by switching the disk when the PSX logo appeared. When I burned that PS1 out I bought another one in mid 1996 06 early 1997 with the parallel port and used a gold finger card that attached to that port to play imports
