No, it's not. They couldn't find the '55 Chevy the script called for so they used a '54 model.

I think it may have been because it was supposed to be 1955 when the series began, which is what they were going for - Fonzie wishes everything could be just like it was when the show was new.
1954 was a bit early for the time frame of the show. Either that or it's the last season and the prop department didn't care.
