This tutorial demonstrates how to remove and change a background. Using the quick selection tool and a layer mask, separate the subject from the unwanted background, add a new image, and replace the background. After creating your masterpiece, stop by http://www.facebook.com/pseandmore to upload it for all to see. For written instructions go to http://j.mp/y4tZMe

  • I have been trying to learn this technique forever, but just gave up with elements 7, using the adjustment layers were just too many steps, but the clarity with 10 is just easy. Thank you for showing myself a newbie some great techniques.

  • @lhawkins40 I agree. Masking in PSE 9 or 10 is way more easy than faking the mask.

  • can't we do this in photo sop without being elements?

  • @georgegergi Yes you can. I create Elements videos because most people don't have the extra money to buy the full version of Photoshop.

  • Oh my gosh, that is brilliant thank you, I shall be putting a link of my facebook page saying how impressed I am.

  • @sarahssugarcraft Thanks. I've been out on National Guard duty and just returned. I'll be making some new videos soon. Thanks for the support.
