I agree that the ball went off Tatum, but the other debate is whether the ball touched the ground and bounced into Franco's hands.
Coincidentally, there are 3 video clips that block the view of Franco's catch, so no one (except for eye witnesses that are willing to confess to it aka John Madden) really know for sure if the ball touched the ground. Franco says the ball touched his foot, which i don't believe for a second.
IMO, the ball did touch the ground. Anyone disagree?
This play has been studied very closely so many times, that it is pointless to debate anymore. This was not a dead play since the ball bounced off of Tatum, not Fuqua. Only Madden and Tatum have been deniers all these years. This play was perfectly legal -- it was off of a defensive player into the hands of an eligible receiver, end of story.
jack tatum is the player that knocked the ball to harris. he also paralyzed daryll stingley i think played for the patriots not sure. he wrote a book called, they call me asassin. vicious player. in fact all the oakland players in the the 70's were roughhouse loonies.
Everyone there is an American who has done more for Mexico than is reported in the news. He is fighting for justice for 35 teenagers murdered in Florida of which two were from Mexico.
Its really big and glorious.

It was a dead ball according to the rules back then. This was the same officials that were in super bowl X. And you saw the fake game ending call there too. Or were you not born yet?
