SR steam train - 850 'Lord Nelson' departs Rothley, GCR, 25-Oct-2008 - TrainBusJaguar. Southern Railways Lord Nelson Class 4-6-0 #850 'Lord Nelson' is seen leaving Rothley, on the Great Central Railway, Nottingham, on the 'Drive a Locomotive Experience' run, bound for Leicester. Jubilee #5690 'Leander' can be heard departing in the background with a train for Loughborough.

Filmed on October 25th, 2008.

  • its not great central nottingham thats gcr loughborough, not as good as the northern half

  • I'm confused . If the loco. is painted in malachite green why is the lettering on the tender and the cabside not the Bulleid sunshine lettering. Also, the normal front end treatment for malachite locos was black cylinders and green smoke deflectors. And malachite was only used after the Southern re-numbering, so why the Eastleigh prefix to the number ?
