@maycauseburns there are little slots in the heel of the shoe and nails that come up from under the floorboard which allows them to lean and not come unhooked from the ground... takes much of upper body and leg muscles

There's little pockets in the stage where they can clip their shoes onto. They bring out the guy that dances solo with the smoke to draw attention away while michael and the other dancers get ready.
