This was the best series. So exciting, and so heartbreaking to lose that 7th game. Such memories

I still can't believe that that group of Flyers, with a rookie goaltender, took the legendary Oilers to 7 games.

I would say second greatest.......only after the first cup win

THAT WAS INSANE

@ldhorricks they just tore down the spectrum...across the street was Veterans Stadium...I was at the corner where these palaces stood and it really looked naked...i had no idea where I was...regarding organ players, none of the new arenas, parks or stadiums have them anymore, all piped in music...When citizens bank park opened, they had Paul Richardson, the longtime organ player at the Vet, on the concourse with a keyboard...Sad

Shame all the great Arenas with soul and history are all but gone (MSG) the only one remaining. Gone are the likes of Spectrums,Forums,Gardens and Olympias. Now its all Corporate arenas with their corporate souls and ticket prices...gone are the organ players,Kate Smiths,Roger Doucets,Sign Mans,Frenchie the horn player. Todays NHL has no soul or character...just a cookie cutter market driven circus.
This game lives in my heart forever. I was at this game. A teenager with my father who was dieing of cancer. My father's doctor gave him the tickets. He knew what big Flyers fans we were. You can here my on the tapes of the game screaming Come on Zez for Peter Zezel. I lived and bleed Orange. It was the greatest gift because its one of the last things my dad did just me and him. To be there when the Spectrum rocked was awesome.
