このなめらかで流れるような旋律は癖になり、とても好きな曲の一つです。
演奏楽団はヘルシングボリ交響楽団です。

  • Franz Berwald is the great unknown. Everything he did is sublime, he just never had good press in America!

  • Hihi! I am a Berwald, me and Franz are family (: I CAN PROVE IT xD

  • The greatest composer ever in Sweden! He was good friend to my relative Johan Henric Munktell and my anchestor Rudolf Walin (operasinger, 1820-68), sang his songs!

    Friendly

    Ulf Sawert. Sweden

  • I have never heard of any of his music before. Very cheerful and sounds best perhaps in springtime with the deer springing about.

Would have been good to read something about him indepth about the history of his life. But nevertheless the music is mainly what appeals to me. Shame he didn't get good press in America, very vibrant sounding.

  • I wish I had this recording.. The one I have from the Danish National Symphony Orchestra sucks..

  • So many times I wonder how many composers are waiting to be discovered. Whatever I have listened to by Berwald is so exciting!

  • Thanks, berwald wrote some very interesting symphonies.

  • Oh my lord and savior this is groovy.. Anyone know where I can buy his stuff? :D

  • I'm starting to really think yes Berwald should have been a huge success. I picked up his string quartets, just to give it a chance and i was stunned with how engaging they are, even more than many quartets by mozart, schubert, beethoven....not to take anything away from these masters, it isn't a competition after all, but I can just say I'm glad i finally discovered Berwald..I guess i had to move from USA to Sweden!!!

  • So true, beautiful music.
