imo the song doesn't have a definite meaning
but the feeling of never getting "enough" and how sick ANY addiction to anything can be whether it be food, drugs, or thrills. and the video to me shows the sadness and pain and how deranging it can be within the mind to not be able to control the urges we all have, to want more.

probably one of my favorite tool songs of all time.

How is maynard the sickest dimented person in the world. These dark fantasies are alive in all of us. It is expressed through his art rather then live action. Besides Maynard doesnt create the visuals and only guides a small part of the creative process. Tool records the instruments, then maynard is effected by the sound and reacts with his own words.

Stateing you love his music makes you guilty of the same fantasies lol :).

I remember this one guy on tv being interviewed and the interviewer ask him about the meaning of a specfic song. And the guy goes "honestly man, I couldnt even tell you because I dont remember. It was just some shit that I was feeling at the time" hahah

really nice analysis dude but there being a girl that is naked and imposing sex positions and finally touching the guy and so on might mean it actually is about sex how one never gets satisfied trying new positions and so on but I gues you re right because aenima album is about human evolution after all
