-Regina's POV-
Aly came running into the house. I saw the tears on her face and instantly was on my feet. "Sorry.... be right back" I ran to follow her. I didn't even wait to heard Rosalie's reaction. I would come back... I mean.. chess could wait for my sister. "Aly?" I tapped my knuckles against the door
Aly: Go away!
"Not happening. Open the door before I bust it down. It's my room too" She opened the door and I came in.
Aly: What?
"I KNOW something's wrong Aly." I waited. Then, as I had expected, she sat on her bed and gestured for me to sit next to her.
Aly: You know... the problem with Jazz and Joe?
"Yeah. What happened?" What could have upset Aly this much?
Aly: Well... Jazz made a choice.
"A..... choice?" Not good.... definitely not good.
Aly: She... chose Joe. My Nick and Jayme were trying to save her. Get her away from him! And she SENT US AWAY.
She shivered
Aly: You should have seen the way they were acting! It was disgusting!!!
"Disgusting? What do you mean?"
Aly: Long story short.... basically they sent us away. And... well you know what's on Joe's mind....
"Oh god no. She DIDN'T!"
Aly: That's why they sent us away.
This was HORRIBLE! Jazz was gone. If she let Joe..... I shivered even THINKING about it. God! What was her problem?!
Aly: Worst part..... she really REALLY looked like she wanted it....
"NO!"
Aly: *nods* I can barely bear to see her acting this way! I miss our friend already.
"She'll come around. I know she will Aly." I heard my name getting called. "But I better get back down there before Rosalie cheats me out of my win" Good thing I had memorized where everything was before I had come up.
Rosalie: Regina?
"Hey... sorry about that." I sat back down. "HEY! You moved your knight!"
Rosalie: You weren't supposed to notice.
She moved it back to where it belonged and then our game continued. It was SO cool that she had moved here. I had been getting depressed around here. Nobody was a REAL challenge in chess the way Aly was. But... Aly spent so much of her time with Nick that I had no opponent.
Rosalie: What was that about?
"Oh... stuff." I wasn't going to tell Rosalie about Jazz. She barely knew her anyway. It wouldn't affect her. "And no distracting me while I think!"
Rosalie: *evil smile* And I thought this would be an easy game.
It was REAL close in the end. But, she made a bad choice with her Queen and I got a checkmate.
Rosalie: Rematch!
"Rosalie... that match took almost 5 hours. How about tomorrow?"
Rosalie: Alright. I should get home anyway. Dinner isn't going to cook itself.
"If only" We both laughed and she went out to her car. She pulled out and drove off. She was running a little late... hopefully it wasn't that bad. Her mom had died while giving birth to Kayden... and her dad had a mental disorder. He had trouble with little things. She was real good to him though. Took care of him just as well as her little brother. She really loved her little brother so much. He's in kindergarden and for a while she had thought he had had the same disorder her dad did. But he had just been acting out because he was a little kid. He was the smartest kid in his class already. Rosalie was really proud of him, I could tell. She talked about him a lot.
Aly: What's for dinner?
"Um.... pasta?" The front door slammed shut.
Kat: What would you 2 do without me?
We laughed. "Die of starvation"
Aly: Live in a REALLY dirty house!
Kat: I'm making my chicken tonight. Shoo!
We ran from the kitchen, laughing again. It was good to see Aly cheered up. She just needed to keep her mind off of Jazz and Joe. I could help with that. "Chess?"
Aly: You're on!
She smiled at me as I set up the board. This was going to be a GOOD chess game! "You can go first"
Aly: Only because you're scared I'll beat you if you give me too much time to think.
"Yep!" We both laughed and she moved one of her pawns forward.
