Jammer dat de Van Doornes geen echte zakenmensen waren, anders reden we nu nog DAF.
En als je ziet hoeveel moderne auto's in elke klasse variomatic rijden, mag je best stellen dat dit 1 van de beste uitvindingen is in deze .
Natuurlijk zijn het tegenwoordig technische hoogstandjes en met nieuwe materialen, maar het concept en basisidee is nog identiek.
Milieuvriendelijk en heerlijk rijdend in een altijd goede verhouding koppel en versnelling. Krijg je met een automaat of traditioneel geschakeld

We've got a National show (BKV) in Warwickshire this June. Last year, the show was at Thoresby Hall (Notts). Most Volvos and 'assiciated' cars are welcome.
If you're not too far - it may be a good little jaunt for your DAF-vario!

That was a lovely video - very nicely done.
I love the DAF variomatic - never owned one.
I have 3 Volvos though. A 740, a 940 and an S90. i am a member of the Volvo Owner's Club. Love to see some varomatic Volvo 66 and 340's at our shows!

@tubedougz Thank you, i am also a big lover of the Volvo cars as well, my dad had 140 and 240 series Volvo's for years.
i aso have a friend in the Volvo owners club a Tony Millhouse who has a different Volvo every week. : )

HI GMC, no i have not but i did in a corsa, i love the country, i went to Amsterdam, Arnhem, and Eindohoven.

Have you ever drive in the Netherlands with a daf i think they would have a good response that a englishman drives a daf.

@GMC135 sorry i will correct myself, yes i did i drove a 31 in Arhnem belonging to Nico Tennison and it was up a hill : )
