I`ve done this on my great great grandad`s 158 year old penny farthing, blind folded and with my leg amputated just for the challenge and im 3 years old......!
i'm 90% sure i've been down there before. Its better to down there with a bit more speed so you don't feel every bump. maybe he needs a lot more pratice for this kind of mountain biking. wish i still had my orange p7...
We used to ride up that "marin hardtail" a few years ago now

I don't think so. Its hardly a hardcore DH track. I've done it plenty of times on an XC bike with the seat up.
Using the (front) brake and not getting out the saddle was where he probably went wrong
