@porkyminch01 Even if a fast paced game is what he was going for, there are far better ways of doing that than using a timer, especially since it doesn't add anything meaningful to the gameplay. Like I said, there's no strategy that can help you beat the timer. A much better way would be increasing player and enemy speed and using very open level design, among other things.

@porkyminch01 It all looks and otherwise feels nice, but the timer ruins it. Imagine you're playing, I don't know, half life, and then you get stuck either because you don't know where to go or because you're running out of ammo or something. Then the timer runs out and you start losing health even more quickly. There's no real strategy that can help you beat the timer, but it makes everything else more difficult. Even worse, you just have to know what the timer is for, it's not explained.

The character, setting, and weapon design was nice, but the time mechanic was frustrating.
