"Donor funds are phenomenally important for advancing the field of childhood cancer... In the 1950s we cured only 20% of kids and today, we cure 75% of kids. It took a lot of hard work, but I think of it like a spring. If you're pushing a spring, the first part of it is very easy. But to finish the job, for us, specifically, to go from 75% cure to 100% cure, it's going to require more time and energy and work than it did to get where we are today..."
