Birthright Israel NEXT Presents the show, Monolgues. Birthright Monologues is an evening of solo performances of monologues, spoken word and hip-hop music exploring Jewish identity inspired by a 10-day trip through Israel. Monologues chronicles the diverse experiences of people who each took ten days of their lives to participate in an in-depth tour of Israel.

The cast created their pieces during a series of group workshops and one-on-one rehearsals with director Vanessa Hidary, The Hebrew Mamita of HBOs Def Poetry Jam, beginning in September 2007. The performance represents an experimental approach which combines monologues, stories, and spoken word to capture the unique experience and expression of each cast member.

All the material is original and all the stories are told by their creators.
