Helpful, I learned a few things I didn't quite understand before. It's a shame expert village has a bad rep, because it makes me over-critical from the moment I see the name.

i gotta say, this video kinda puts newbies on to a skewed perspective. Here's some info for you guys just starting.
The size of your kit is usually defined by the genres you most often play, and drummers will take different set ups to different gigs to get that style change.
A drummer won't bring a double bass monster kit with super thick cymbals to a jazz gig, nor will he bring a modest 4pc with thin cymbals and a single kick pedal to a metal gig..
