"A phoenix is a mythical bird with a tail of beautiful gold and red plumage (or purple and blue, by some sources [1]). It has a 600-800 year life-cycle, and near the end the phoenix builds itself a nest of cinnamon twigs that it then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix or phoenix egg arises, reborn anew to live again. The new phoenix is destined to live as long as its old self." -- All according to Wikipedia, of course...

What does this have to do with SCORPION? Well, check out this video to watch one of the clear cut leaders put SCORPION through it's paces on a recycle route. This municipality uses this mythical bird on the doors of its refuse units. Take another look, and make sure to rate this video!

  • how does she fare with occ? I'm considering starting a recycling service using an asl vs using an fl, & was curious about the Scorpion's performance on an occ rte

  • Recycle is handled properly by SCORPION. The packer design allows you to have a clean hopper every single time for another load. With the "spongy" nature of recycle material, the SCORPION packer is exceptional. SCORPION definitely tops in every aspect--definitely this one!!.. If you need to see weight tickets, let me know!

  • haha i say they should put everyones address upside down on their carts so when dumped you can easily determine who is contaminating the stream of recycling! lol

then send them a little fine :P

  • How about a bar code reader on the arm?? SCORPION can track it!

  • Hopefully our hopper footage will help to show residents how to recycle properly. Now they know we are watching!!

  • awesome place to put the camera!!!!

  • Seriously, this is one of my favorite automated side loader designs, ever. I never get tired of seeing this beast in action.

  • very high contamination. but this should help educate the public a little. great video mate, five stars

  • lol yea

cascade eng. makes trash can with bar codes on them so that could work

  • Awsummm as!!! Man i luv this truck!... Is the engine a Cummins ISX?? LOL!! the bottle at 7:19 aha liked that:P Nice Job!!

  • Great vid as always, the Scorpion cannot be beat!

The recycling stream there, though it cans still use some work, looks far better than ours!

These lazy people seem not to care and just put anything in the recycling bins.

Mounting cameras on the recycling trucks and then, issuing warnings then citations is a great idea and the Scorpion is ready to go with it!

    5-Stars!
