This video briefly reviews the symbiotic relationship of ants that tend lycaenid larvae (Glaucopsyche lygdamus oro and Glaucopsyche piasus daunia). These larvae secrete a sweet substance that sustains the ants without harming the caterpillars. One important tip to find these larvae is simply to look for congregating ants.
