@VaughnFry I agree with you on the bad editing spots, and the end, where Denzel steps out of his role and trys to be the heroic Denzel from previous films. Its like someone said to him " Hey, you're Denzel. you can't just let this movie end, with you looking like some pee on, schmuck train conductor. You're Denzel man! " . The three bad guys all got caught way to easy for the amount of prep they most have put into the heist.

I prefer the original version alot more mostly because it's faithful to the book. They already made TV film version in the 90s with Donnie Whalberg and Vincent D'Onofrio.

great review! eh, i don't have any interest in seeing this movie. i feel like denzel is always the same type of character in all of the serious movies he does.

Well one of the strong points of this movie is that Denzel doesn't play his usual role. If you like watching him, you may want to check this out some time down the road.

Great review. This is definitely at the top of my rental list when it comes out. If I had some money to drop, I'd go to theaters to see it, but I'm saving my $9 for Transformers 2. Fingers crossed it doesn't disappoint.
Off hand, what are the chances of you reviewing My Sister's Keeper? I've seen various differing commercials for it, some of them misleading, imo. Just curious to see if it interests you at all.

With Cameron Diaz, not very high. It's going to come down to whether or not I receive a special screening, and I have no control over those. I'll see what I can do.
