Wrong
Depending on cam and turbo its around 2,200-2,500 on a duramax if that
Gas is more around 3,000 - 3,800 but also deisels dont really red line much over 4,000 rpm if that and gas trucks dont usually red line past 5,500-6,000
-
If that's 470 hp then that hemi is bad ass cause the duramax had a huge jump and it did not leave it by much
-
@Metallica613 Horsepower doesn't win races. Torque on a diesel is higher than on a gasser. Plus diesels reach their max torque at lower RPM (2000-3000 range) where as a gas reaches its max torque at a range of 4500-5500.
-
@shadyaftermass how's that sad? diesels can be tuned like you saw, to beat all sorts of shitty gasoline powered vehicles.
-
@Nsphere and the fact that max tourque in a duramax is reached at less than 1500-3000 rpms where a gas motor is over 4500-5500 rpm...

@cobra96svt570 finally someone that understands that trucks have their positives and negatives. that sounds like the perfect truck but i would rather have a long bed with dodge sized fenders
-
@metallica613 I know its a rumble bee( even though I didn't get to see if it had the production number) I have one production model not knock off. You idiot. If you want to talk mess come down to the shoot out @ royal purple raceway on 10-8-11 and we'll see who the idiot is. Better have more than a cold air intake and high performance stickers.
-
@cobra96svt570 Powerstroke 7.3= better engine
-
@101turtleto thats definitely a rumble bee you idiot do you see the stripe on the back that means rumble bee yes an srt10 would leave that thing in the dust they are 500 h.p. stock and half the weight of that duramax piece of crap
-
smoked by a desiel. sad
The perfect truck= Chevy/Gmc 3500 4dr shortbed, Cummins 5.9, Allison 6spd auto, Ford solid axles/chassis. End of story.
