  • I was diagnosed with et at 13 years old I am now 32 and my trimmer has progressed severely I recently have gotten a referall to the mayfield clinic at uc hospital in cincinnati ohio to undergo deep brain stimulation surgery my trimmer is throughout my entire body literally from head to toe my voice is impacted I am deciding whether or not to have the surgery as I am a single mother of 7 children the surgery is risky and I am afraid what if something happens to me what will happen to them.

  • @JoBetization

    Hi Jo,

You have a heavy burden to bear. I don't know much about the deep brain stimulation.

My tremors are less than before. I found that improving head & neck posture helped me quite a bit. Specifically, I must avoid sticking my neck out, that is, holding my head forward as I would always do when working on the computer.

I hope to do another video, but keep on procrastinating.

I wish you success in reaching the right decision.

    Good luck, Phil

  • Hi Phil, thanks for posting. How long have you had this essential tremor? I have head tremor but the doctors don't think it's essential tremor. They say it's resting tremor. When I move or focus on something in my mind, the tremor stops. But if I let go of the focus, the tremor comes back. Does your tremor stop when you go to sleep?

  • @MrVegiita

I have had slight tremors in my hands since I was 22 years old. I didn't notice my head tremors until a few years ago, but I think my head was shaking slightly without my noticing it since I was 50 years old. The head tremors became quite a bit worse over a 6 months period beginning about 1 1/2 years ago. My tremors do not stop when I focus on something in my mind. And they do not stop as I am falling asleep. I think they stop while I am sleeping. Hope this helps. Phil

  • Unlike many of you here I am pretty young and I have ET. I only turned just 18 a few months ago. My shaking is from side to side, the opposite of what you have.

  • @GorillazFAN06

You have my sympathy for carrying the burden of ET at such a young age. I wish you the best of luck in learning how to deal with your problem.

    Phil

  • I get a little jump in my neck quite often. Small movement, I don't think it's essential tremor but it is annoying and I'm trying to find the answer.

  • @jplainphil Continued from my last response.

So anyways, Cannabis could be the answer for you since it is a non harmfu medication with NO side affects whatsoever. Look up Rick Simpson on youtube, you seem like a smart man. You could be thinking i'm a total idiot, but if you just take the time to research you will see the good side of Cannabis, and not the bad side which the Government inflicted upon it. PLEASE research on it. It reduces shaking by A LOT. with NO side effects.

  • @jplainphil Hello, I feel bad for you, as myself am beginning to get head tremors. Listen, please listen. Go research about Cannabis oil, try and get some (better to make your own, actually you SHOULD make your own, never buy it from people)

Its the honey oil extracted from the Cannabis aka Marijuana plant. Please this plant believe me has some really amazing effects on the body. Its is harmless and one of the best medications out there.I read countless articles on it helping tremor

  • thank you for the video too :)

  • im 28 and finaly got to see the neurologist i have ET i was happy with that because it could have bin worse news. my head nodd's too.

  • Thanks Phil - I appreciate your video. I have head tremor - side to side. I find sitting still is when it affects me the most. Like datzfast I have been sticking my head forward when working at the computer making my neck painful, which in turn makes the tremor more pronounced. I look forward to seeing another video from Phil.
