Beyond T. REX (1 of 5)

"Beyond T. REX" is a documentary produced by Discovery Channel (aired in 1997) that showcase the (then) newly-discovered Giganotosaurus from Patagonia, Argentina and Carcharodontosaurus from Morocco. With the aid of paleontologists Phil Currie, Bob Bakker, Paul Sereno and Rodolfo Coria, both dinosaurs are judged in brain power, bite strength and then compared it to T-rex's; to determine which of them was truly the "king of dinosaurs."

The documentary makes the case that while Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus were slightly longer than T-rex, they weren't as smart and didn't have as much jaw strength, concluding that TYRANNOSAURUS REX still remains the most ferocious meat-eater of all-time!

Comparing this to boxing, T. REX would be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the prehistoric world! Its sheer size complimented with raw power and cunning makes the "Tyrant Lizard King" the ultimate fighter...and experts agree!

T Rex was the tank of the big meat eating dinosaurs, more muscular and bigger thicker banana like teeth. No other meat eating prehistoric dinosaur compares. None. Not Giganotosaurus, Spinosaurus nor any other. T Rex was the monster of the mid way, the colossus of the territory, the eating machine of the ancient world, the....well you get the picture!
