Version 1 of 3 - New Jerusalem. Nueva Jerusalen. New Jerusalem descending from heaven as described in the bible by the apostle John at Revelation 21:10-21. Depicted are six of the twelve pearl gates with six of the twelve names of the tribes of Israel above them, six of the twelve angels, twelve foundations with the names of the twelve apostles, the wall and city of gold.
Jasper is described at Revelation 21:11 as being brilliant, clear and having high value. An actual jasper stone does not have any of these qualities. This leads some to believe that the jasper referenced in the visions of Revelation actually refers to the diamond. (Reference: Jerusalem Bible,NJB,CJB - Revelation 21:11,18,19)
