Stock Market Update November 9

The S&P 500 is telling us that there should be another corrective rally up to 1065 before any more major economic problems begin to occur. 954 is the immediate target that we look to hit Monday or Tuesday. A pullback is likely to occur from the 954 target and this decline needs to stay above 927 or the additional rally up to 1065 could be in jeopardy.

Last week we had a string of winning trades including DRYS +80%, CHK +8%, and EXPD +18%. The "short squeeze momentum" trades turned out to be the right setup for the past 2 weeks. For the week ahead, our algorithms tell us that buyers will be the cause for rising price rather than panicked short sellers. As a result of this perspective, we have identified stocks which provide short term "Counter Trend Trades" so there is no need to buy above previous highs (except SLM).
