  • Vishnu wasn't trying to KILL Lakshmi- he was trying see if she can prove the he gets his power from her.

  • @21jivencool In the puranas there are many references to gods and goddesses arguing and fighting with each other, though I think this is the first time I see weapons used against the other. But this is not a baseless story as some are claiming here. This video (based on a puran) is an artistic way of making a religious point - that the goddesses are the shakti (power) of gods. The authors of this puran used a domestic spat situation because that is something ordinary people ARE FAMILIAR WITH.

  • @Ganapathy1920 thanks for the story atleast i came to know y this fight arised

  • @freeze30able and Nishumbha, which then Ambika (Sakthi) takes the forms of Kali and Chandika and conquers them and their entire army including Chanda and Munda, Dhoomralochana and Rakthabheeja. It was after this that Goddess Lakshmi arose from the churning of the milky ocean and Sakthi was reborn as Dakshayani(Sati) and Parvathi.

  • @freeze30able This was noticed by both Shakti and Lakshmi. In order to bring the husbands to their senses, they tried to reinforce the fact that without sattva sakthi(lakshmi) and tamo sakthi(Gauri), both Shiva and Vishnu were powerless.

However their please and advice fell on deaf ears. Thus Sakthi abandoned Kailasa and Lakshmi abandoned Vaikuntha. As a result both Shiva and Vishnu became powerless. This negative balance in the cosmos, ultimately led to the creation of the 2 asuras Shumbha

  • @freeze30able Vishnu is sarvaguna sampanna. The moral of the story is Ahamkaram (ego) can even arise to Sriman Narayana. It is the duty of a spouse to bring his/her alter ego to right senses even if it means to fight with him/her. This story is extracted from the Devi Bhagawatham.

The complete story is as follows:

Once there was an asura called Kalahala. After a long and weary battle, he was destroyed by Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. However, both of them were engulfed with pride and ahamkara.

  • its said that vishu is sarvaguna sapanna

i dont believe he will fight with his wife like this

and he never gets angry and thats the one of the reason why lakshmi chosen vishnu as her husband and beside i heard that vishnu loves his wife very much she lives in his heart

  • all these mistakes in titles and explanations will cause others to look down on us! Please put up with care!

  • @MissKumari16 Calm down.. this is just a story designed to illustrate the absolute oneness between the Male Purusa and His Shakti..

  • THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @muraridas@ Whoever put this video clip is an absolute idiot, don't put rubbish and has got no base on it, there is no difference between Laxmi and Narayana, actually they are one, to do different past times for devotees they expand into various forms.

  • Is that an actorr...or Vishnu himself?:O
