Rory and Jess use to date, but broke up and remained good friends. Rory meets a guy named Logan and starts having a casual relationship with him. She tells Jess about it and he disapproves, saying that she should be with someone who truly loves her, not someone who's just with her for fun. :)

I found this quote on songmeanings.net regarding what this song means, and I think it felts the song perfectly. I don't see this song as being about sex. I see this song as simply saying that you should be with someone who truly loves you, not someone who's just in the relationship for fun and not taking it seriously.

Yeah, I hated him for that too. After about mid season 5, I feel that she really changed and stopped being that sweet, funny girl that she'd been before she met him. Another thing I hated too is that she stopped being a book junkie and she always was that in earlier seasons. Jess loves her for who she was and he never tried to change her and I've always loved him for that.

loved it! im a huge rory/jess fan <3 theyre the best couple ever! i HATED rory and logan! logan was terrible! he made rory everything shes not! he ruined her character. jess loved rory for exactly who she was =)
