Yes, but warhammer's also 100x more expensive (no, I'm not exaggerating for a good 2,000 point army), takes tons more time to set up, tons more time to play, tons more time to put your models together, tons more time to paint, etc, etc, etc.
For pick up and payability? This is FAR better when you don't want a long drawn out battle.

I'm still fairly new to it all, the longest game I had ran about 40 minutes, though we only had like 6 buildings, and 10 units each so still a bit lacking but it's definitely fun.
Unfortunately I'm playing martians and have yet to find any damn power pods, those things look like the life blood of the martian army.

Lonewolf, that is rather like comparing motorcycling to driving a truck.
Yes they are both games, Both have some great aspects that will appeal to different types of gamers.
In the current economic times, its nice to be able to pick up a game that does not require thousands of dollars just to field a playable army.
And its just plain fun, what more can you really ask for?
