- Original instrumental version - artist: Michael Bublé Tribute Band album: "Piano Strings Tribute to Michael Bublé" ------------------------------------ I've changed music pitch :-)
Well... please never sing this song again. You're voice is good, but you have to learn how to deal with it. Please do some lessons and you'll see how nice your voice could sound with a little bit of feeling for the tones
Yeah im not sure what it is with the word "awfully" but i type in some lyrics into google and people have it spelled offuly, afully, ofly.... cmon ppl
en) dont belt it, dont drone it, dont try and parrot copy it, keep the tone, keep the timing, keep the spirit.
*) Goes for any song. Unless you wrote it...dont butcher other peoples great songs. Butcher your own. if your covering a song , do it justice. Rod Stewarts version of this is a classic in its own right.
3) dont try and copy sinatra..unless you got the same heritage and genetics its unlikely you will sound even vaguely similar. (ever heard his brother sing?)
4) Dont get into some idea you can cover a sinatra track and just "do it your way".
you can make it your own...buyt the 4th trick is the timiung..
I found that sinatra seems to come in a beat AFTER you naturally expect it.
even if you use your own voice ..you need to keep the timing tbh.
1st "trick" with sinatra. NOTHING is forced. its the guy singing a song from the heart casually. Thats what gives him the magic. Andf its why people who think they are "superior" vocalists and try and belt out a sinatra track just simply fallover....cos they ARENT belted out.
2nd technique is to play the sound a lot more through the nasal for resonance. I found not a lot of sinatra sound comes through the mouth. That was the major finding.
WTF. Is this a joke? Don t ever disrespect Old Blue Eyes again dog!

jesus.
I HAD to stop after 50 seconds..(i pushed that far cos i hoped it would get better).
Honestly, im not trying to flame this for the sake of it, simply because it was genuinely baaadd with a captial B and lots of x10 next to it.!!!
I have genuinely heard drunks in the gutter warble this better.
If you are gonna take on a unique song like this, you should oplay it back a few times.
I found with Sinatra's vocals, there is obvious voice and a few techniques that let us emulate the song.
