@whessly as it turns out Jonny howard the coward and his buddies years later admitted that what Keating did was the right thing at the time given the economic situation. Libs are a pack of scumbags that would have the average aussie on his/her knees given half the chance.

@whessly wake the fuck up labor weren't resposible for 10% unemployment. There was a frigging world wide recession at the time so unless Labor can magically control events within the biggest economies in the world they had fuck all to do with it. Before you point at interested rates aswell you need to get something into your head. Keating lifted the cap on interest rates and due to the global situation at the time they went up dramatically. Of course lib lovers slam him for it but

@The777FORGIVEN Bob Hawke was still the better “Prime Minister” as opposed to John Howard

Howard slid out of his seat like a compacted turd slides out of the arse of an overweight, pie-eating dockworker taking a dump after a week of gut clenching constipation. Check Mungo McCallum's great book RUN JOHNNY RUN and the repeated gag of the rodent being nicknamed the "unflushable turd". When the little shithead missed out on being made head of the ICC you could hear his nasal whine of "Ehhhwwwwwhwwhhwwww" emanating around the country. War criminal Johnny, the future is waiting...

@AndyG1678 if u honestly believe that u have no ideamlacolm fraser was the worst we have had by a long way, had no idea how to control employment, the economy and his own party.

like old school labor can talk, they were responsible for 10% unemployment back in the day. i bet those workers were really worried about their rights while on the dole que.

Thanks for laying the cornerstones of our 21st Century economy Bob!
A great man (with one or two minor exceptions)!!!!
They'll never ever learn...the Liberals liked to talk about 'Me-too' politics...I think they're obsessed with 'Me-me-me' politics - what's in it for *me*, and to hell with everyone else!

You forget Gough, otherwise I agree- Alot of Rudd's appeal is the fact that he succeded Howard and after that bastard, the texan chainsaw nutter would look good.
