And while that's one of the tenets of communism (socialism? huh, googles time...), like anything else man-made it damn near never fulfills itself. On a small scale, sure...but apply it to anything on a national scale and there's all kinds of breakdown and corruption and....well, communism robot joke comes up once again.

Anyhow, one of the goals of communism was to allow everyone in a community to work for play- "to do one thing today and another tomorrow, to hunt in the morning, fish in the afternoon, rear cattle in the evening, criticise after dinner, just as I have a mind, without ever becoming hunter, fisherman, herdsman or critic." There's undoubtedly a comparison.

Besides, communism robots are always breaking down and demanding the same wage as everyone else, even though they lack the need to eat or sleep. That's what you get when there's no competition or drive to be better than the next guy.
