Thanks for the video. The bottom line is that Apple needs to get this fixed! I can't use Apple's own file format to import sound tracks to Apple's software? ridicules. Even more ridicules is their denial that there is any kind of a problem with it in the first place - does that mean no one is working to fix it while there are thousands of posts from users complaining about this? This video alone has 993 views.
As a recent convert from Windows and Sony Vegas I must say I'm pretty disappointed.

finally fixed it thanks to you! even went to the apple shop genius bar and they didn't seem to have much of an idea.
why doesn't/can't apple sent out software update and get this fixed? I like apple, but my confidence in them has gone down because not only this, but FCPX seizing up and quitting from time to time....
