  • John was way cooler than sid.

  • @Belosus

We all know that Sid couldnt play Bass, and i think he was a bad singer, seriously he sounded like he was drunk. But i think he could heve been a good Drummer, he was one before he joined the Sex Pistols, i mean look at him he was Tall, muscular, he could have been one of the best. The only reason they took him in the band was because he was Johnny's friend. And i have to disagree with you that the others were talentless, they were a bounch of kids who couldnt stand each other

  • Steve Jones was on guitar for 3 months before they played live. Paul Cook could read music and knew how to play very early and is a great drummer, his timing and precision is impecable. Glens bass lines are perfect timing and carried the whole rythem section, Steves playing was is great. You calling The Sex Pistols shows your not as much as a huge fan that you might think you are. Look closer, read more, really listen to them. Musician wise they are brilliant.

  • @tatethompson1234 Now I'm not syaing Sid was perfect, and I get mad at the poeple that think Sid was Jesus Christ, but I also get mad at the people that hate him because he had no talent. Neither did Johnny Rotten, Steve Jones couldn't play the guitar at first, and Paul Cook couldn't drum at first. The whole band was a bunch of kids who made a career being talentless.

  • @tatethompson1234 But Sid didn't kill the band, I think the band was truthfully doomed from the start. Johnny Rotten hated Malcolm, he felt Steve Jones and Paul Cook were always agaisnt him. but in the end he still wanted to continue the band with Sid but without MALCOLM., but Steve refused becasue He was freidns with Malcolm. Sid wasn't really fucked up until he met Nancy, and I'm not syaing he was a saint but when he joined the band all he did was practice until he met nancy.

  • @tatethompson1234 I guess your right if Malcolm Mclarne had never been manager there would've never been a band. But he encourgaed and fueled the anger between Glen and Johnny which caused Glen to leave. And Johnny Rotten tlaked about that he tried ot help SId becasue he was his friend and Malcolm only encouraged Sid to be as terrilbe as possible. I don't think Malcolm or Sid destroyed the band. And I'm getting this mostly from the Filth and the Fury and other articles I read.

  • @Belosus Malcoms pitting them against each other wasen't the exact end of the band. And what do you mean if Malcom never have been the manager? The Sex Pistols would of never happened. Sid killed the band by not playing, not contributing anything, being always fucked up. He never encouraged Sid, no one ever did. I don't know where you got that, he only told the band make the music as chaotic as possible when Glen was in the band. Sid did all that on his own, and Johnny Rotten even has said that.

  • @tatethompson1234 And if you've listened to the intervies and watched the documentarys you'd know that Malcolm Mclarne killed the band by making Johnny hate Glen, Steve, and Paul, and encouraging Sid to be as outrageous as possible. If Malcolm Mclaren had never bee the manager Johnny wouldn't have left Sid would'nt have been as messed up as he was, and they could've probably cranked out another album or two.

  • @tatethompson1234 If you listened to the interviews you would've heard Steve and Paul talking abut how they loved it when Sid started being in the band because all he was doing was practicing bass, then a girl named Nancy was introduced to hi and he stopped practicing bass and started doing heroin. I like him as a singer and I think he could've made a career being a singer if he wouldn't have died so young, I certainly like his voice better than Johnny Rottens.

  • @Belosus I have been collecting Sex Pistols stuff for years, I have over Records, Over 100 Magazines, Flyers, Posters and even bought a Steve Jones Les Paul, Sid wasen't a great singer, but he was good for what it was. He practiced on bass barely ever, he coulden't even tune his own bass and what are you talking about? Do some history research on interviews, he has stated many times that he plays bass ect. We hate on Sid because he ruined the band, and was a waste of time.
